Caddo Parish’s 59 coaches earned an average salary of $34,998 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the second lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Louisiana post-secondary schools during 2022.

Caddo Parish is home to three post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Louisiana State University-Shreveport stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $54,208.

Male coaches of men's teams received $43,009 on average in Caddo Parish, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $31,975.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
