Speaker Johnson criticized Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's call for new elections in Israel, labeling it as "highly inappropriate" and "just plain wrong." Johnson expressed his disapproval at a press conference alongside House Republican Leadership, stating, "This is not only highly inappropriate, it's just plain wrong for an American leader to play such a divisive role in Israeli politics, while our closest ally in the region is in an existential battle for its very survival."

Johnson emphasized the importance of standing with Israel and providing full support to the country during its challenging times. He criticized the actions of the White House and Senate Democrats, accusing them of siding with Iran and its proxies instead of supporting Israel. Johnson highlighted the need for unity and support for allies in the face of adversity.

The Speaker also pointed out the Democrats' foreign policy approach, which he believes projects weakness on the world stage and undermines allies globally. Johnson emphasized the upcoming election in the United States, stating, "The most important election, in our view, is not what may happen in Israel, but the one that is needed right here in the United States. It will happen in November, and it cannot get here soon enough."
